BASF Coatings Business Unit Announces Global Management Appointments

BASF Coatings announced the establishment of a global business unit for automotive original paint solutions and automotive repair paint solutions, effective from August 1, 2023. Under the new organizational structure, BASF will better meet the needs of global customers and provide them with global support and services.
Zhao Zhengyu has been appointed as the head of the newly established global automotive original paint and coating solutions, with the headquarters of the business unit located in Hong Kong. Prior to assuming this position, Zhao Zhengyu was Senior Vice President of Coatings Solutions for the Asia Pacific region. Zhao Zhengyu joined BASF's polyurethane business department in 1999 and held various positions in multiple departments. He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Donghua University and a Bachelor's degree in Polymer Materials from East China University of Technology.
Chris Titmarsh will be responsible for the global automotive repair paint solutions business unit located in Minster, Germany. He previously served as Senior Vice President of Automotive Touchup Paint Solutions in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa in Germany. Timothy studied chemistry in 1992 and completed a graduate program in business management in 1999. In 2006, Temas joined BASF as a polymer research chemist. He held various positions in marketing and business management before being transferred to the Asia Pacific Automotive Touchup Paint Solutions business unit in Hong Kong in 2015.
Frank Naber will be responsible for the surface treatment global business unit located in Frankfurt, Germany, operated under the Chemetall brand. Fan Nabai will replace Christopher Cazabeau in this position, and he will prepare for the new appointment. Prior to this, Fannabe served as Senior Vice President of Automotive Original Paint Solutions for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. He studied business administration at the University of Minster and joined BASF in 2004. He has held various regional and global positions in the polyurethane business units in Germany and Belgium. In 2012, Fan Nabai joined the Coatings Business Unit and held various customer and business management positions in the Automotive Original Paint Solutions Business Unit in Minster and Hong Kong.
