EspañolThe basic molding method for SMC mould is compressing and heating. Different types of heating solution will influence the mould quality, also influence the cost of production. There are three types of heating solution: cartridge heating, steam heating, and thermal oil heating.
1. Cartridge heating, the advantage is simply operating and low cost, but it's poor in temperature controlling, and not suited for complex structure mould.
2. Steam heating, the temperature is uniform and heating fast, but it's hard to control with high cost.
3. The most common solution is thermal oil heating, with balance temperature and fast heating.
This type heating uses the temperature control machine(showed below), which can adjust the temperature easily. This machine can heating and cooling according to the setting, which can make the complex process of preheat---continuous heating---heat preservation---cooling in SMC making.
