EspañolInternational News-AMBA Impulses The Government To Impose Tariffs For Chinese Mould
On May, 7th, the American Mould Manufacturers Association(AMBA) submitted a formal opinion to the US Trade Representative(UST) requesting it not to cancel the imposition of HS Code: 8480719090 injection moulds imported from China related to the Cornora Virus-19 panademic 301 tariff.
AMBA managing director Kym Conis said:" We believe that the absolute number of US mould manufacturing companies clearly refutes any argement that there is no domestic product that can replace China's imported moulds." He also said:"Even before the outbreak, the US mould manufacturing industry has sufficient capacity to meet the needs of Corona virus before and after. As an integral part of the medical device and personal protective equipment supply chain, mould manufacturers across the country remain open and continue important machines and devices required for production."
AMBA stated taht US mould factories are committed to help to ensure that frontline doctors and other health professional peoples have the personal protective equipment, medical devices, and equipments needed to fight the new virus. The association emphasizes that it looks forward to working with the Trump administration to strengthen the US manufacturing industry and ensure that US mould makers coontinue to provide thousands of jobs nationwide and provide plastic moulds in the coming decades.
