Mold-Masters recently launched a hot runner SYMFILL technology that can be used for blood collection tube injection molding. This technology reduces the barrel bow by 90% by eliminating the core offset, which can be improved from 1.5mm to 0.15mm.
SYMFILL technology of Mold-Masters minimizes core offset to improve the part quality of cylindrical, center injection parts with positive L/D ratios. It allows the melt to enter the nozzle runner channel from multiple sides instead of the traditional single entry point.
Company said to reduce the degree of warpage to achieve the tube rolls concentrically in the labeling machine, and to increase the throughput of the final stage, and minimizing machine downtime. This technology can be applied to blood collection tubes, needle covers, covers and other related parts of cosmetic packaging and stationery in the medical industry.
