EspañolPolyplastics Group has launched a new brand of Duranex polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) resin, which has significantly improved hydrolysis resistance and thermal shock resistance. According to reports, Duranex 201HR is a new product that can ensure the long-term reliability of components and increase the penetration rate of Duranex PBT in the automotive market.
Duranex 201HR is an unfilled material, which greatly improves the hydrolysis resistance, while also maintaining the excellent mechanical properties and molding properties of the traditional PBT resin. Duranex 201HR is very suitable for use in high humidity environments and can extend the service life of many products. It is especially suitable for automotive connectors that work in harsh working environments.
Duranex 201HR is a supplement to Polyplastics' Duranex LT series products, which also significantly improve the thermal shock resistance by enhancing the toughness of the resin and relaxing the strain generated by the thermal shock cycle test. Its performance even exceeds that of polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) resin, and PPS is one of the resins with the best thermal shock resistance.
In addition, Duranex LT series not only facilitates insert molding, but also has excellent hydrolysis resistance, releasing the potential for high performance and longer service life in a series of products. These grades can also be used for various parts where conventional PBT resin cannot be used. It is said that Duranex LT series PBT grades are very suitable for use in harsh environment components such as power modules, DC/DC converters, motor insulators and EPS systems.
