Nowadays, the material used for making mobile toliet is SMC and FRP, all belong to resin matrix composite, but there are many differences between these two raw materials:

FRP(Fiberglass Reinforced Plastics), in simple terms, uses the principle of increasing the strength of fiberglass after it's soaked by resin, and makes the infiltrating fiberglass molding in certain pressure and temperature within ficed time.

SMC(Sheet Molding Compound), is a molding material using resin paste or chopped fibre felt and covered with polyethylene film on two sides, belongs to the presoak felt material, which is widely used material all over the world.

The material composition differs, the price is different: SMC material is more than twice as expensive than FRP.

The forming process is different: SMC material must using hydraulic press machine and metal mould, and molding with high temperature and high pressure; FRP using wood pattern, and molding by manual with natural drying.

The quality is different: SMC material, with high density, great intensity, forming under high temperature and high pressure with only one layer material, the quality is realiable; FRP material, with many layers of gel coat, glass fibre cloth, plank, etc. using hand lay-up technology, will be influenced by worker's technology or weather, the quality is instability.
