Walmart Says To Reduce The Use Of Plastics
Walmart, i think everyone know that it is big engterprise for market.
According to the Global Commitment Initiative for the New Plastics Economy, Wal-Mart used 1.2 million tons of plastic in its own-brand packaging before 2 years.
Wal-Mart, Keurig, Dr. Pepper, Pepsi and Target are other major brands that have made similar commitments to As You Sow. According to As You Sow’s statement, of these five companies, only Keurig and Dr. Pepper have clarified the specific volume reduction by 20% by 2025, while PepsiCo has promised to reduce the use of plastics by at least 5%. 25% reduction of virgin materials in packaging.
Conrad MacKerron, As You Sow’s senior vice president, said: “We encourage other companies to boldly and firmly reduce plastic packaging. Thousands of companies need to come forward and make similar commitments to ensure that global single-use plastics are significantly reduced. Use of packaging."
Although this kind of commitment by large brands is becoming a common practice, these companies have recently been scrutinized by consumers and environmental organizations because many brands have failed to reach their goals before the deadline, and some have even made no progress.
