Why thin-walled plastic mold with high cost?
Cooling system :
Thin-walled products are not as large as the traditional wall thickness can withstand greater heat transfer due to uneven residual stress. In order to ensure the dimensional stability of products, the shrinkage and warpage control in an acceptable range, it is neceaasry to strengthen the cooling mold to ensure that the cooling is balanced. Better cooling measures are used in the core and the cavity module does not close the cooling line, increase the cooling length, can enhance the cooling effect, where necessary, adding high conductivity metal inserts to speed up the heat conduction.
Exhaust system:
Thin-walled injection molding mold generally need good exhaust, it is best to carry out the vacuum operation. Due to the short filling time and high injection speed, it is very important that the mold fully exhaust, especially the full exhaust of the flowing forefront, to prevent trapped ignition. Gas is usually discharged through cores, rams, stiffeners, studs and parting surfaces. The end of runner must also be adequately vented.
Mold Release system:
Because of the thinness of the walls and ribs of the thin-walled products, they are very easily damaged and shrink very little in the thickness direction, making the tendons and other small structures very easy to bond while the high packing pressure reduces shrinkage. To avoid over threading and sticking, thin-wall injection molding should use a larger number if ejector pins than conventional injection molding.
All points constitue the partticularity of thin-walled injection mold, resulting in increasinged mold price.
