Cleaning of the SMC mold after molding
After the product molding out, the mold must be cleaned carefully. Firstly, all debris such as SMC debris and burrs remaining in the mold should be cleaned up, especially the materials that have penetrated into the gaps in the joint surface of the mold cavity should be completely removed. And it may affect the opening and closing of the mold and exhaust.
Compressed air, brushes and copper non-ferrous tools are used to clean the mold. The advantage of SMC composite materials is to not damage the surface of the mold cavity during cleaning. After the mold is cleaned, a certain amount of mold release agent can be applied to the places where sticky mold is likely to occur, and then carefully check whether there are other foreign objects in the mold cavity.
